that is, designing around Hindu customs that are primarily

and awarded by Mr. Vijay Mallya, U.B.Group (Mcdowell 100 years)
for significant contribution to Indian clothing design
at Oberoi Grand, Calcutta along with a fashion show. |

with a fashion show. Awarded 'Bharat Nirman'
for the best person in the field of fashion in Calcutta. An

" Kingfisher Hall of Fame Fashion Award"
for life time achievement presented by Mr. Vijay Mallya at
Oberoi Grand in Calcutta. Had a show on first ever gold fashion
jewellery for men at Taj Bengal, Calcutta. Presented by World
Gold Council, directed by Mr. Prasad Bidapa. Awarded
Vocational Excellence Award 2001 by Rotary
Club of Calcutta, Inner Wheel on June 2001. Awarded Kingfisher
Accessory Designer of the year in Bangalore. |

Global
launch
of her designerwear in London, Paris, Dubai, Dhaka, New
York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston and Chicago. She
has been approached by a leading US based event consultant,
Kala Music and Play (KMP), to present her creation
internationally, starting with a show at New York on the
17th of April, 2004. |

Sharbari
gets another feather in her cap -
Former US Vice President & 2007's Nobel Peace Prize
recipient Al Gore gets a Sharbari Achkan. The
Achkan that Datta had designed for Al Gore is a gift that
the JSW Foundation presented to him during the facilitation
ceremony in Delhi. |

2009 |
Sharbari gets a prestigious invitation show by
North American
Bengali Conference - 2009 at the McEnery Convention
Center, San Jose, California. The show was highly
received by the NRI residents who had traveled all over from
Europe and all corners of USA to San Jose, California. Sharbari‟s Collection showcased in first ever
Kolkata Fashion Week
- 2009 in Kolkata.
In November 2009, Sharbari was nominated in the category
of the Best Craft Revivalist by the most popular Fashion
Magazine of India - Marie Claire.
Kantha a traditional artwork of West Bengal - an intricate
running stitch work, covering patterns to chores of life on
a piece of cloth. Sharbari had revived the long lost
tradition and the intricate Kantha art work is evident in
Shabari's creations. |

Fashion Show held in Bangalore on 20th & 21st
November, 2010. Awarded as the
Revivalist Designer of the Year. |

Sharbari Datta has completed her creative career as a designer. A celebration fashion show held on November, 2011 at ITC, Sonar. Choreographed by Prasad Bidapa. .All the top male models of the country participated at the show. |
