Each stitch you buy provides financial relief to faceless, invisible seamstresses whose nimble and work-weary fingers give concrete shape to Sharbari’s designing dreams. They are all dedicated to Sharbari and earn their livelihood working for her.

Her original motivation was to do something independently. But later, while borrowing help to do the stitching she realized that she could do her bit for the larger welfare of the community she lived in.

Though the work is painstaking and laborious, it does not call for any specialized skills. So this offers scope to unskilled and unlettered women who need to earn. Over the years, they have developed a strong relationship and Sharbari pays the girls roughly 25% of the labeled price of the garment.
